You set the price.
You keep 100%.
No cut of your fares.
You're an independent business on DriverEats. You set your own delivery price and keep 100% of it, plus 100% of tips and 100% of any perks you offer. DriverEats takes $0 out of your deliveries — the only thing you pay is a flat software plan. Read exactly how it works below.
The Formula
You set your own delivery price in Driver Settings — the platform never sets it. The customer pays it and it lands directly in your own Stripe account, shown on the offer before you accept. In bad weather you can offer a weather premium that goes 100% to you, and you can add other upsell perks the customer pays for. DriverEats takes $0 out of your deliveries — driving is free — the only optional charge is Premium ($7.99/mo — free for founding drivers) for smart tools; tips are never touched.
Tip is always 100% yours. It is never used to offset base pay, never pooled, and never subject to any deduction. What the customer tips, you receive.
Tips sit in a 24-hour dispute window before releasing to your balance — they show on your receipt immediately but clear the next day.
You Set Your Own Price
You set your own delivery price in Driver Settings — the platform never sets it. Whatever you charge lands directly in your own Stripe account and 100% of it is yours; the offer shows your exact fare before you accept. The example starting prices below give you a feel for where drivers begin per vehicle.
🚴 Pedal Bike / Cargo Bike
⚡ E-Bike / Cargo E-Bike
🛵 Scooter / Moped / EV
🚗 Car
🚐 Van
🚛 Box Truck
These are example starting prices — you set your own. 100% of tips are added on top, always. Your delivery fee is the customer's payment, landing directly in your own Stripe account — DriverEats takes $0 out of your deliveries. Driving is free — the only optional charge is Premium ($7.99/mo — free for founding drivers) for smart tools; tips are never touched.
Free to Drive. Optional Premium to Work Smarter.
Driving is free — no per-delivery fee, no trial to burn through. DriverEats takes $0 out of your deliveries for everyone: no commission, no percentage, no cut of your fares or tips. The only optional charge is Premium, which unlocks smart tools to help you earn more — it never changes the per-delivery economics.
Accept orders, navigate, and deliver. Set your own price and keep 100% of it plus 100% of tips. No per-delivery fee, no monthly cost, ever. This is the default — every driver works fully on the free plan.
Optional smart tools to earn more: route optimizer, demand heat map, weather-pay forecast, and advanced upsell-perk + pricing config. Premium is tools only — it does not buy dispatch priority. Founding drivers get Premium free; first month prorated if you join mid-month. Never required to work or get paid — your per-delivery pay stays 100% yours either way.
You're never locked out. If Premium lapses, you keep driving free — you just lose the premium tools until your card is updated. Your ability to accept orders, deliver, and keep 100% of your pay never depends on Premium.
Two Receipts, Two Businesses
On a food order the customer gets two separate receipts, because two independent businesses are being paid directly — never through DriverEats.
Food + tax, paid directly to the restaurant's own account. That's their business — not yours, and never the platform's.
Your delivery price + any perks + 100% of the tip, paid directly to your own Stripe account. That's your business — you keep 100%.
The customer also pays one small flat service fee to the platform at checkout. Restaurants are free — they never pay a commission, and you never pay one to them. Everyone gets paid directly; DriverEats never sits in the flow of your money.
4 Ways to Earn on One Platform
Most platforms lock you into one job type. DriverEats dispatches all four from a single queue. Accept what fits your vehicle and schedule.

Bonuses
Large Order Fee
Big, multi-bag orders pay more — the customer pays extra and 100% of it is yours, on top of your delivery fee. It's sized by bag count (set by each restaurant), never by the food price: a 2-bag order adds +$3, a 3+ bag order adds +$5. Shown on the offer before you accept.
Worked Example
Food delivery, car, during heavy rain · $3.00 tip
On a clear day, the same order is your $6.00 example price + $3.00 tip = $9.00. The weather premium is always shown on the offer before you accept — never a surprise, never taken away. All of it is 100% yours.
Weather Pay
No demand surge, no bidding, no games. You set your own price and keep 100% of it, plus 100% of every tip — so you never have to wait around for a zone to spike to earn a fair rate. The offer you see is the offer you get.
Weather pay — in bad weather the customer pays a weather premium and 100% of it goes to you: +$3 in heavy rain/heat (Tier 1) or +$6 in a severe storm/snow (Tier 2). Bikes, scooters and mopeds are automatically paused in Tier 1+ weather for your safety; in extreme conditions (Tier 3) the whole zone pauses. If the weather app is wrong, tap "Report bad weather" in the app and support will review and activate the right tier. Weather pay is shown on the offer before you accept and itemized on every receipt.
